Please accept our sincere condolences on Rays Passing. I remember many times at the McIlwrick house on Husky Road as a kid. Summers spent at the pool with Brian Neil and Donna to our adulthood with brian burning circles with that bright orange GTO . I do remember playing against the McIlwrick team in the Oilmans bonspiel sharing lots of laughs. I will always remember your dad for his hard work in the Oil Business. RIP Mr. Ray McIlwrick

Dear Val & family, I have such fond memories knowing Ray. I’m so sorry I missed his funeral. I sure would have liked to be there to pay my utmost tribute and respect to such a wonderful man. Through my many years at Border Credit Union/Common Wealth along with my friendship with the McIlwrick families, particularly Ron’s daughter Sheila, it is such a honour and pleasure to get to know a lot of the family members. Ray and Ron were such hard workers, which made it so obvious how they became such successful business men; both so friendly, generous, honest, kind and role models for many. But what really stood out for me, was how they treated their wonderful wives, Val & Alice, always with such love, respect, pride, and protection.
I’m thinking of you all with loving and caring thoughts, along with my deepest sympathy. Ray made the world a better place and leaves behind a beautiful legacy with his wonderful family, especially all those special grandchildren he loved so much. Rest In Peace Ice Cream Grandpa! You are going to be missed, but never forgotten.
