Wilma, we are so sorry to read of Harvey's passing. We enjoyed some snowmobiling and visits at the lake and socials for Teacher's staff functions. One Christmas Harvey even played Santa Claus for our young grandchildren when they came to the lake that year. You have many good memories to cherish.

Aunt Wilma,
We are saddened by the loss of Uncle Harvey and we will continue to keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Where do we begin with someone who was so full of life and as BIG as life itself? To us, Uncle Harvey was entertaining, fun, loving, a teaser and a jokester. He was honest and authentic, a quality in which we both admired. Uncle was certainly a force to be reckoned with!
Pride was something he definitely did not lack. Pride in his work, volunteering, house, yard, vehicles, and the list goes on and on. The most pride he showed was in you, Aunt Wilma. The love he has for you was evident in the time and experiences you shared together. No matter what, he always wanted and needed you by his side.
We will always treasure the many visits and conversations we shared with you and Uncle Harvey. The many times at the farm, including harvest time when he was always willing to lend a helping hand. The road trip to Kamloops, driving Grandpa's Cadillac in the parade, chipping golf balls in the yard, sitting on the deck with a beverage or sitting around the kitchen table listening to jokes and telling stories.
You and Uncle Harvey were always glad to see us and each time we parted we would comment how our time together passed so quickly. The days seemed like hours and hours seemed like minutes. After we would say our goodbyes, we would comment to each other, "what a wonderful visit!"
Of all the memories, the thing we will remember the most is how you and Uncle Harvey always made us feel welcome and loved.
We miss him today and everyday as we will hold his memory close to our hearts!
All Our Love,
Kim and Loriann Bodnard

Mr. Bodnard was my Grade 5 teacher at Queen Elizabeth School. I have to admit, I was a little nervous to be in his class as he was known to be strict, but after the first day, that worry slipped away. His expectations were high but not unrealistic and I believe he brought out the best in every one of us. Not only did my penmanship improve but I also learned the importance of articulation (I think anyone from our class would still remember our presentation of “Cattle Country” at the music festival) and his lessons were engaging. When we were learning about the east coast, we all brought a piece of bread and butter and he brought tins of sardines so we could all taste sardine sandwiches. As the years passed by I would run into him from time to time and he was always friendly and happy to see me. Looking back, I understand more clearly the life lessons he emphasized: honesty, accepting responsibility and the importance of trying your best. Wilma, may you find comfort and peace knowing that Mr. Bodnard will be remembered with fondness. PS I have tried to call him Harvey but it just doesn’t feel right.

Dear Wilma, We were so shocked and sad to hear about Harvey. It was a true pleasure knowing him, he could brightened anyone’s day with his fun loving chats and friendliness. The thing that I really admired about Harvey, was not only his dedicated commitment to our community, but also the care & pride he took in his property and vehicles. He will be dearly missed. Both Jerry and I extend our sincerest sympathy to his family, friends and especially to you. Take care, Wilma. Hopefully our paths will cross someday to express our sympathy in person. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the funeral to pay tribute to a wonderful guy!

So sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. I bought my first house through him 23 years ago and no matter how much time passed every time he seen me he always remembered me and my parents. I always teased him that he needed to return to work so that I could purchase my next home through him as well. He was a great man, a very kind and caring soul.

Mr. Bodnard was my Grade 5 school teacher at Queen Elizabeth.
He was a lot of fun but was also known for being strict for those who needed it. If you paid attention and behaved you were fine.
One day he caught me and Charlie Michalski talking. He made us go to the front of the class and I had to spell Charlie's last name out loud and Charlie had to recite the alphabet backwards. We were put on the spot and embarrassed! We could see him grinning with his hand over his mouth in the corner. Needless to say, I never forgot how to spell Charlie's last name, and he never caught us talking again.
I have been complemented throughout the years on my handwriting. I owe that all to Mr. Bodnard. He was a stickler for making sure your letters were all the same size and going the same way. I'm not sure I appreciated it then, but I sure do now. Thank you.
When I was in grade 3 I had a cousin come live with us for a year. She was in grade 5 in Mr. Bodnard's class. Well every time I saw him out anywhere, he would always ask me how I was doing, and then ask how my cousin Shelly was doing as well. He never forgot her after all those years.
I'm sad to hear he has passed away, but he will live on in all those he taught. He was one of the good ones.
RIP Mr. Bodnard.

So sorry to hear of Harvey’s passing. I have many fond memories of him working at Town and Country Realty. He was quite the prankster! I moved away, and when we were home for a visit and popped into the office to visit my Mom Pauline, our kids always enjoyed Harvey’s sense of humour too! Thinking of you, Wilma.

Wilma,
Our thoughts are with you. I remember Mr. Bodnard at Queen Elizabeth School teaching Grade 4, when I attended that school. He would have taught my two older brothers, Duane & Wade Brandvold. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I also remember him selling houses, and your vehicles and yard were always in pristine shape. Hugs & strength to you as you carry on without him in person, but you will always carry him in your heart and memories. Take care.

Dear Wilma, I was saddened to see the passing of Harvey. Such fun times we had with Harvey, Ralph, Ed & Paul. I recall Harvey staying at our house in Calgary one time, and at the breakfast table one morning, Craig was a little grumpy till he had his breakfast & Harvey sympathized with him. May Harvey rest in Peace. Blessings & Hugs to you Wilma
