Councillor Vincent Murphy
1994 – 2022
Living his whole life north of Highway 40, in the Carruthers area, Vince served as a dedicated Councillor in Division 4 for 28 years. He has considerable knowledge of the needs of his Division and was not afraid to voice the concerns of his ratepayers.
Vince could always be counted on for a smile, a laugh, or even a ‘poke’ as he quite often made us giggle. We often could get a rise out of Vince if a comment was made how Chevy’s were not at the top of the list.
One request he had was to always have some black licorice candies at his end of the table. If the dish didn’t have enough, you would be sure he would snag them first. A cup of decaf coffee to start the meeting and a Sprite with lunch.
Thank you Vince, you will be missed.

Here are 2 of the nicest guys you could ask for. My cousins sure knew how to pick husbands. I always enjoyed the company of both of them. They were both so cheerful and always found the best in everyone. We will miss them but will cherish so many wonderful memories.

VInce was such special person, and will always remember meeting you both at Wallace’s and how we were so amazed how much Vince looked like his uncle Father Vincent. We had such a great visit at the farm with you both. We were so pleased to have you both visit PEI and the laughs and stories that were told. I only wish were closer and could be with you.
