Helen, Jennifer, Carolyn, and Daryl, please accept our condolences from the Fisher family. I always enjoyed meeting with Don on my trips to Lloydminster. Over the years we became good friends and I considered Don a mentor. Once we got through the accounting discussion, we solved many of the world’s problems. Great political discussions were held…. fortunately, we held many of the same views. Don was a thoughtful, intelligent, and entertaining person. He was a close friend of my father Erd. Don was a professional who will be fondly remembered by many. Cherish the memories and always remember that Don cared for his family above all else.

I hadn't seen Don or Helen for many years until we met at our mutual neighbor's funeral several years ago. I remember the 38th street neighborhood gatherings as a kid with much gratitude for having been part of them. I also recall Don having a fairly dry sense of humor that I may have taken a cue or two from. I wish only the best to Helen, Jennifer, Carolyn and Daryl in the future and I hope you will accept my deepest condolences.

Helen and family, when Mom and Dad informed me that their very close friend Don had passed I was of course saddened but at the same time recalled his warm smile, sense of humor and one of a kind golf swing during my many Bones Boys golf outings where I had the pleasure of his company along side my Dad. We only just heard of Don’s passing. Please accept our sincere condolences from the entire Sellers family.
Don was a long time personal and professional friend of our family. Don’s gentle understanding and kindness was accompanied by his dry sense of humour that was legendary among his golfing friends. Don’s professional ability to negotiate sometimes very complicated family business issues was instrumental in our long relationship with him professionally. But more importantly our personal interactions were always rewarding and so enjoyable due the touch of humour that was ever present.
We will be thinking of the entire MacDonald family at this sad time.
