Hello, my name is celine (Dargis) schulz, niece to Denise, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting closer to her since my mother s death in 2007, we became closer in comforting each other. And every time I would come to Edmonton, I would stop to visit or stayed with her in her home. She was always welcoming. I found her company enlightening because we both had an interest in genealogy and history, and would talk for hours. She definitely helped me in learning more about all kinds of family history. That is just one of the things we had in common. She will surely be missed. In her long life, she has made a tremendous contribution and has impacted many people s lives. She has made a big difference in my life too , and I am forever grateful. May you Rest In Peace, dear auntie.

My condolences on the death of Denise. Denise Marie Andree Kent (née Rougeau) was my aunt and dear friend. She was the last survivor of the six daughters born to Joseph and Marie Rougeau, French speaking, life-long residents of Alberta. For many years Denise encouraged and supported my interest in Rougeau and Cevaer family genealogy. I will always treasure the hours I spent discussing our shared heritage.

Denise will be fondly remembered by my sons & I. Denise always made sure the kids got together at marwayne when they were visiting which forged great friendships between all the kids that they enjoy today. My fondest memories of Denise is a cup of tea at the farm and a wave each day out on range road 40 where she kept active everyday. Irwinville church was another passion we both have; while our volunteer crew spent endless hours restoring it and making it a historic site; she was pleased it would last for generations to come and was always quick to contribute. Denise aged graciously and always made me marvel what she could accomplish in her high heals right up to her nineties! I treasure her friendship and our photos and memories together.
Our condolences

Mes condoléances. Quelque mots ‘amitié pour vous dire que je pense à la famille. La mort n’est pas un fin. Elle est le début d’une autre vie dans un mode de paix.
I will cherish Denise’s friendship and the times spent sharing the joy of learning, of history and of course, genealogy. To her family, may the words of Chief Crowfoot comfort you, “Hold on to what is good; Even if it’s handful of earth. Hold on to what you believe, Even if it’s a tree that stands by itself. Hold on to what you must do, Even if it’s a long way from here. Hold on to your life, Even if it’s easier to let go. Hold on to my hand, Even if some day I’ll be gone away from you.”
Repose en paix, mon ami et chante avec les anges. -- Sheila Genaille

My sincere condolences on the passing of Denise. I taught with her at Father Gorman my first year in Lloyd - 1979. We were a bunch of new teachers on staff and we all looked up to Denise because she seemed so worldly and wise! I remember her for her method of teaching kids to read. She was so very pleasant to have on staff.
