Obituary of Eldon Turnbull

Eldon James Turnbull passed away peacefully in Legal, Alberta on Sunday, July 6, 2008 at the age of 71 years. Eldon will be sadly missed by his wife, Sharon; his sons Jamie (Michelle), Steven (Daniel), Jeff (Peggy), seven grandchildren, Larissa, Danielle, Sarah, Christian, Lauren, Grace and Mary; six sisters and two brothers. The funeral service for Eldon was conducted from the Lashburn Community Hall, Lashburn, Saskatchewan on Monday, July 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Peter Yeung officiating. Lorna Chappell accompanied on the organ and Kyla Hamm sang Amazing Grace. Two eulogies were read by son Steven Turnbull and brother-in-law Ken Lepard. The Honourary pallbearers were Larry Gurski, Jerrie Ziegeman, Art Hastings, Doug Lepard, Clinton Turnbull, and Derrell Skjerven. Internment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Reverend Peter Yeung for the comforting service, Lorna Chappell for playing the organ and Kyla Hamm for singing during the service. Thank you to the United Church Ladies for providing the lunch that followed the service. A special thank you to McCaw's Funeral Services for their assistance in making arrangements and planning the service. At this time the family would like to thank all those who sent cards, flowers, food, and made charitable donations in Eldon's name to various charities. Special thanks to all who helped us through this difficult time we can't thank you all enough.
