BIOGRAPHY
KITCHING ~ Athena Marguerite Kitching passed away peacefully at the Wainwright Health Centre, Wainwright, Alberta on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the age of 68 years.
Athena is survived by her daughter Cheryle and Wayne Stevenson; son Daryl and Shawna Rogers, five grandchildren: Courtney, Britteny, Thomas, Corinne and Danielle; two brothers Dick and Elaine Rayson, Butch and Julie Rayson as well as numerous other relatives.
The funeral service for Athena was conducted from the Lashburn Community Hall, Lashburn, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Peter Yeung officiating.
A eulogy was given by Cheryle and Wayne Stevenson.
Lashburn Community Choir sang "Lord Of The Dance" and "On The Wings Of A Dove," accompanied on the organ by Lorna Chappell.
Special music "Amazing Grace" was sung by Peter Yeung.
Honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In Mom's Life.
Active pallbearers were Murray Milne, Lorne Scramstad, Marvin Seabrook, Mike Hepfner, Wayne Topott and Chris Woods.
Interment was held at the Lashburn Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

A special thank you to Dr. Rick of Wainwright who took such wonderful care of mom under difficult circumstances. We could never thank you enough for the care and respect mom received from you. The world needs more Doctors like you.
To all the nurses who made mom's last days more bearable and allowed her to pass on with dignity and respect. You are a tribute to your profession.
To Reverend Peter Yeung for the beautiful service and for the song for mom, for all the other people who were a part of the funeral, thank you. Your help and caring made a sad day a little easier.
Thank you to all those who brought food to the house, the visits, the cards, flowers and donations it was greatly appreciated.
